Winchester firm's African campaign
5:00pm Tuesday 16th March 2010

STAFF from a Winchester company have gone to Ethiopia to produce a charity video.
Winchester-based public relations firm, Remarkable, is carrying out the voluntary work to support the Twenty5 campaign.
It aims to help Ethiopia to become more self-sufficient after the devastating droughts and famine of the mid-1980s.
Staff at Remarkable wanted to do their bit, and three of them went to Africa to witness the situation first-hand.
Chief executive, Stephen Pomeroy, went to visit Ethiopia along with colleagues Eshan Bhatti and Nic Yeeles.
They filmed some of the projects that are helping Ethiopia to rebuild, along with evidence of the poverty and hardship that still exists.
The idea is that the footage will be shown in Britain later this year to highlight the issue.
A screening is already being planned at the Houses of Parliament in Westminster this coming autumn.
Remarkable senior account executive, Jennifer Pearce, said: “The video will show what’s been done in the last 25 years and also what still needs to be done.”
She added: “We have helped several charities in the past and this is something we felt strongly about and it struck a chord with us.”
The Twenty5 campaign is being led by the St Matthew’s Children’s Fund and the Jerusalem Children and Community Development Organisation.
