Parish council plots future for Hursley

PROPOSALS are being drawn up to create a parish plan for Hursley.

Similar documents exist in many nearby villages and aim to give residents a voice in how their parish evolves.

Once finished, the plans are adopted by Winchester City Council and are borne in mind when applications in that village are decided.

Hursley Parish Council wants as many residents as possible to get involved and two workshops are being organised.

They are taking place at Itchen Abbas Village Hall and are being run by the Campaign to Protect Rural England.

The CPRE will give tips on how the new Localism bill will change planning rules and how villages can respond.

The workshops are on Thursday, February 9 from 12-noon to 4pm and from 10am to 4pm on Thursday, March 8.

Entry is free and lunches are included. Call Becky French on 01962 779185 or email becky.french@cprehampshire.org.uk to book.
