Winchester businessmen tackle 100km charity challenge

A PAIR of Winchester businessmen are walking 100km non-stop to raise money for charity.

Philip Plambeck, of estate agents’ Smiths Gore, and David Myres, of Adam Architects, have signed up for the London2Brighton challenge in May where they must complete the route in 24 hours.

They are joined by fellow Hampshire businessmen Mark Pelley, a partner at Henry Adams Estate Agents in Petersfield and Lee Hurst, of Andover, who works for Vodafone.

The team aims to raise £2,500 for Macmillan Cancer Support and Mr Plambeck said: “It is the toughest fight most of us will ever face and thanks to the Macmillan team providing support, it doesn't have to be faced alone."

The challenge takes place on May 12 and donations can be made at www.justigiving.com/plambeck. The team is also looking for sponsorship from businesses.
