Briggs near to England debut

Danny Briggs could play his first game for England in tomorrow’s warm-up match against his former England Lions teammates in Abu Dhabi.
Slow left-armer Briggs, below, has been outstanding for the Lions in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka recently, resulting in his call-up to the full England ODI and Twenty20 squads.
After tomorrow’s 50-over friendly, which brings the Lions tour to a close, Briggs will be in contention for an ODI debut during next week’s series against Pakistan, with the four matches scheduled for February 13, 15, 18 and 21.
